Nansen is a magazine about migrants of all kinds. Each issue focuses on one migrant, honing in on the minutiae of lives lived away from home – moments all migrants can relate to, and many non-migrants too. The founder and editor of Nansen set out to create a very personal and relatable magazine, a celebratory and positive view of migration as a reminder of its countless success stories. In the spirit of the celebratory approach, the magazine adopts a bold style, underlining the informal and sometimes witty content with strong and bright colours. Each issue makes use of one different typeface, focusing on the individuality of each interviewee.
